Our experience in the Galapagos was fabulous. Sailed on the Alya, a small catamaran with a very caring, attentive crew. Each day was filled with interesting experiences and led by our very knowledgable naturalist Juan. Beautiful scenery, fascinating animals, wonderful accommodations - a trip of a lifetime!

Excellent guides and hotels make Ecuador outstanding. I spent three days in Ecuador’s Valley of the Volcanoes south of Quito (a lesser visited area). This was organized by Apullacta Expeditions. My driver-guides were excellent with extensive knowledge of the history, indigenous communities, geography, wild and cultivated plants and animals. They were clear and considerate. Their driving was safe on the excellent roads, inspiring confidence. The hotels were of the highest quality boutique character, and I wanted to stay in each one longer. The hotels were refurbished colonial homes; beautiful, spacious, modern facilities, English-speaking staff and so much better than the sterile sameness of the hotel chains. I highly recommend this company especially if you want to visit more than the usual areas of this wonderful, fascinating country of Ecuador.

Sofia, at Expedicion Apullacta, provided continuous personalized service to create a unique experience to match our family's the style of travel. She was able to match us with a 16 person expedition cruise with a expert, friendly, naturalist, who was our group leader. In addition, Sofia customized a 4 day experience in Ecuador prior to our departing for the Galapagos cruise. They match us with a great English speaking guide / driver who was knowledgeable, flexible and able to modify our daily schedule as we wanted. This was the most perfect experience of using a local travel. Agency in a county different than our own. Sofia was available and responsive daily by WhatsApp.

La comunicación con la agencia Apullacta fue muy buena en todo momento, con toda la información precisa y al momento. El guía, Sebastián, fue muy profesional y puntual en todo momento. Muy comunicativo e interactivo con nosotros, nos llevó al parque donde hicimos la ruta completa a un ritmo adaptado a nosotros, explicando las características principales y más interesantes del parque. Después, nos llevó a comer a un restaurante con bonitas vistas y mejor comida! Sebastián fue realmente muy confiable y mostraba gran conocimiento y pasión por el tour. Nada negativo. Totalmente recomendable.

The experience from booking the tour and driver- done via email from the States- to the actual tour and driver was so seamless and fantastic. We had Sebastián as our tour guide and then booked him to drive us to the National Park and he has a wealth of information, extremely attentive and very easy going. Would highly recommend as he truly added so much to our trip to Cuenca.

Trip of a Lifetime in the Galapagos nov 2022 • Parejas
Our Galapagos Island tour was fabulous! We travel quite a bit independently but this time we were out of depth so we wanted experts on the Galapagos to guide us. Expediciones Apullacta, based in Cuenca, Ecuador, fit the bill remarkably They are a travel agency that understands and can work with English speakers as well as Spanish speakers which is very important in South America. We live in the US but we had no difficulty working with EA to plan an exciting and fascinating trip. Everything was well executed: the airline, the hotel (Highly recommend Hotel Ikala) the tours, (You must see the blue footed boobies and tortoises!) the guides, the food, (try the scorpion fish at La Mer) the hospitality. It would have been nice to be there for at least 4 nights/five days (which EA recommended) but we did a 3 night/4 day tour because of time constraints. We enjoyed our land based hotel and the ability to walk around at night very much. You will feel very safe in Santa Cruz. It's not as rustic as I thought but still very unique (there are the requisite t-shirt shops though) but it's charming and colorful and full of nice people. Go there!

I had a fantastic Galapagos 2 week cruise on the Coral I and two days of tours in Quito with an excellent guide. I can definitely recommend them.
