This 5-day land-based Galápagos program is designed for travelers who prefer staying in hotels while exploring the islands through guided land excursions and navigable day tours. Based mainly on Santa Cruz and Isabela Islands, the program combines wildlife encounters, volcanic landscapes, and iconic visitor sites, offering a well-balanced introduction to the Galápagos Islands with comfortable accommodations and expert guidance.

Depending on availability and operating days, you may choose one of the following islands: Santa Fe, South Plazas, North Seymour, or Bartolomé Island.
Each destination offers a unique experience, with activities such as guided hiking, snorkeling, swimming, and scenic navigation, providing close encounters with sea lions, marine iguanas, seabirds, and impressive volcanic landscapes. Lunch is served on board. In the afternoon, return to Santa Cruz Island where you can relax and later on have dinner at the restaurant specified by the guide. Overnight in Santa Cruz Island
SANTA FE ISLAND
Santa Fe Island features one of the most beautiful sheltered coves in the Galápagos, with turquoise waters and a white coral sand beach protected by a peninsula of tiny islets. The island is home to the endemic Santa Fe land iguana and large colonies of sea lions, making it a vibrant wildlife destination. Snorkeling around Santa Fe often reveals colorful reef fish, sea turtles, rays, and occasional reef sharks, while the island’s landscape offers scenic coastal trails and impressive lava formations.
SOUTH PLAZA ISLAND
South Plaza may be small in size, but it is packed with wildlife and dramatic scenery. The island features steep lava cliffs, vibrant vegetation that shifts in color with the seasons, and abundant birdlife including swallow-tailed gulls, boobies, and tropicbirds. Land iguanas and playful sea lions are common along the coastline, and shaded cliff sides are home to unique flora and interesting seabird colonies—a perfect mix of wildlife and striking views.
NORTH SEYMOUR ISLAND
North Seymour is one of the most iconic day-tour destinations in the Galápagos, renowned for its large colonies of magnificent and great frigatebirds, which display their bright red throat pouches during courtship. Blue-footed boobies’ nest along the trails, performing their colorful mating dances, while sea lions, land iguanas, and lava herons share the island’s low, rocky terrain. It’s a great choice for birdwatching and wildlife viewing in a dramatic coastal setting
BARTOLOMÉ ISLAND
Bartolomé is one of the most recognizable islands in the Galápagos, famous for Pinnacle Rock, a towering volcanic spire rising from the water’s edge. The island’s landscapes are strikingly volcanic, with scenic trails and panoramic viewpoints that offer outstanding vistas over the archipelago. Bartolomé’s surrounding waters are rich in marine life, and snorkeling here may reveal tropical fish, sea turtles, rays, and even Galápagos penguins, the only penguin species found north of the equator.
